History

The only way to understand any concept, idea, or even physical thing, you must know the history. The first recorded fermentated drink was produced from honey and wild yeast in 8000 B.C.

Over the years, it has gone through alot and advanced in many ways. It started with just beer working its way to having beer, liquor, and wine as its main 3 groups. Yet in each group there are 100's or even 1000's of different types or flavors.

In the 1850's, a group of New York bartenders invented the first cocktail. Cocktails became used in higher class bars. Then in 1862, Abraham Lincoln used a liquor tax to help for the civil war. In 1910, the first laws on drunk-driving were inforced in New York. Then in 2000, they began using BAC (Blood Alcohol Concentration) of .08 or above to determine if a person was to drunk to drive. Although as a minor, you have to blow .00, but god forbid you blow a .014.. You'll get a minor in consumption, I promise bro. Oh, and if you think they forgot about your minor and you think they wont send your court papers, give it time.. Itll be a sad day if you get your hopes and you still get them.

"You know how in fairy tails there's always that potion that makes the princess fall asleep and then all the guys start kissing her? Well this is like that except you don't wake up in a castle - you wake up in a frat house with a bad reputation."

Introduction

This blog will be about alcohol. I wanted this blog to be able to tell about cool drinks and such but my teacher said thats not appropriate. So I will be informing you weekly on health concerns, drunk driving, and the physical and mental impact on a person from alcohol. The reason I would say that I'm qualified in this is that I work in a bar and alot of my friends and family like a nice cold beer everyonce and a while.. or all the time. I hope you have fun reading this.
